WFU Baccalaureate Speaker and Religious Studies Alumna, The Right Reverend Kimberly “Kym” Lucas (’92), Receives Honorary Doctorate

At Wake Forest’s 2023 Commencement Ceremony, the Right Reverend Kimberly “Kym” Lucas (WF College ’92, with a double major in Religion and Biology) was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree. The 11th Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Colorado, Lucas gave this year’s Baccalaureate Address in Wait Chapel, where she encouraged the Class of 2023 to “take what you’ve learned and keep learning. Take that curiosity, take that self awareness, take that understanding and lead with love.”
